Cold Piggies

Our dog Callies feet get so cold in this single digit weather. We ended up getting her these little booties last year and they work like magic. It is pretty funny when we first put them on her but then she gets use to them and romps through the snow.

Today Martha Stewart had a segment about Etsy. By the way for you out there who didn't know I am on Etsy. The address is http://www.thistlefarm.etsy.com. It is a great website that features all handmade items. There are over 1 million people who have joined and you can get some great gifts from it.

Today I received a letter from the Town accepting my application and also telling me that I should be at another meeting on March 10th. This one is for the zoning board. They suggested that I be there to answer any questions they may have.

I started needle felting today. Let me just tell you that when they say that the needle is sharp...BELIEVE THEM. I poked myself 3 times and they still hurt. I'll post a pic when I am done with my first project, a little yellow birdie...

Beautiful Snowy Morning

After the meeting last night I couldn't sleep at all. So many ideas and thoughts were running through my mind. I am anxious, nervous and excited all together.

While glancing out the window I saw this male cardinal sitting in a snowy tree so I just had to snap a few pics of him. He is so beautiful with his red against the bright snow. Hopefully I can figure out how to post a photo with this post.

Yeah - 1st step completed!

Well, I just got back from the Town meeting for opening the shop. Good news...they approved the first stage! Now we have to wait until March 25th for the public hearing. The men didn't seem to have a problem with it but now everything goes to the city and then I think they may stop out to take a look at things.

All is good....

I started some sewing projects this afternoon. I love to sew. I don't know why I don't do it more often.

Well...I am a little excited right now so I think I need to go and create something!

Today!

Wow, today is the first day of this blog. I am hoping to keep it up because I am terrible at keeping a diary.

My goal is to document my daily life, my ideas, my dreams and my family.

I am currently trying to open a business and I will add information all about the process. It has been a little trying but hopefully I will make a good go of it and be successful.
