Ok, for all of you out there who wonder why my paragraph boxes look like crap...I can't figure out why this blogspot lumps all of them together. If there is anyone out there that is reading this and can tell what I can do to change it...please let me know!

Lindsey's Bridal Shower

This past Saturday was my cousin Lindsey's bridal shower. It was such a beautiful day...

Above is a collage of photos from that day. Top left is Lindsey, next to that on the right is an adorable card box my aunt made with photos of the bride and groom, next to that is a bowl of m&m's in the wedding colors, bottom left the cake I made, next to that my Aunt Diane (mother of the bride) and my cousin Jillian, next to that on the right is a photo of Lindsey with her card box. On each side is a black and white photo of her and John. On the bottom right sugar cookies I made with the main theme being green apples.

It was a wonderful day and tons of great gifts. Wedding is just 1 month away as of today. We can't wait...now I just need to find a dress!

Ghost Cat

Here's a photo of Stitchy that I took while he was sunning himself in a window. I set the camera to a different setting and this is the result. Ghostly! He's such a good boy when he is not chasing Holly around in a screaming match or knocking the poor beta fish "Rudy" off of the dresser.

I need to get my rear going. I have to run a bunch of errands and then finish my cousin Lindsey's bridal shower cake. It's 9:06 AM and I have to be there at 12:30...so I think I am good. I think...although you know how the time just flies on by...

Birthday Blues

Here's a photo of the birthday boy when he woke up. I can't believe he is actually 9 years old. Where has the time gone?
A photo of the cake I made him for his party on Saturday. The bottom part of the box was the cake and the lid was made out of styrofoam covered with frosting and fondant. It took me forever to put all the details on it. I decorated it on Friday night listening to sappy love songs and dedications and drinking dirty martinis.
I'm pretty sure all the kids had a good time.

Sunflowers

I always have loved sunflowers as long as I can remember. I have longed to see fields and fields of sunflowers but I just don't know where they are. So I decided to try some seeds a couple years ago that were "florist" quality seeds. Well they were so beautiful I decided to grow them again this year. I am just sorry that I did not grow more than I did...there is always next year!
I put them out in my front yard with a sign and

they are selling like hotcakes.
People are just snatching them up like crazy!

Life...

Well coming down after the birthday express took a couple of days. Sunday I was pretty much worthless. I did attempt at trying to clean up but my dear old husband did much of the work. Thank you Todd!

I have been planning on posting some of the pics but the camera card is FULL to the brim and it takes forever, so today I went to Walmart (oh my favorite place...I mean that sarcastically) and downloaded my disk...over 600 pics were on it. NO, not all of the birthday party. Just stuff that has accumulated over the past couple of months. I will be picking up the 4 cd's tomorrow so I'll post pics then.

Otherwise, you need to enjoy this lovely photo of my cute little Lily eating a milkweed. Shh, don't tell my mother-in-law...hopefully it doesn't have any monarch eggs or baby caterpillars on them. They (the 5 pygmy goats) were yelling to be let out to eat the fresh grass. So, I took this pic of Lily, she was the only one looking at me.

As you can tell, I have changed things up a little bit on this site. I added a new pic of the barn with some great dried up thistles, and I also added my etsy site. Finally I figured out how to add the etsy info. It was just a matter of sitting down and reading. Silly me...

Arg...mateys!

Well I am off in pirate land as of today. Full steam ahead for Graydon's birthday party! I feel much better and wedding invites have been handed off to the bride and groom. Thanks Lindsey and John for trusting in me for the invitations. It was a pleasure!

So... cake, cookies, goodie bags, decorations, presents, good weather, treasure hunt, games, cookies...am I forgetting something? Oh yeah, cleaning house!! That's the big one! I can't believe my little boy is turning 9. Where has it gone. This week I will be posting a collage of pics from each of his birthdays...it should be cute to see how he has grown. It will most likely make me cry. I always do the week of his birthday.

Eyes are the windows...

So I took this photo after trying to capture a cat over my shoulder. I missed completely except for part of my eye, which happens to look very blue today. Normally my eyes range in color especially if I am tired or sick and today the sick won out. I should explain that I was up all night deathly ill. It started off with a little headache which quickly blew into a full blown migraine which I NEVER get. Needless to say I spent a good part of the night on the cool tile bathroom floor trying to get rid of the headache, nausea, something else (which I will not disclose) and a fever.

I feel better today except I still have a slight fever and a dull headache. Talk about freak me right the hell out. I really thought that Todd might have to take me to the er...except I couldn't leave the bathroom.

Finally the headache somewhat subsided which lead to sleep. Off and on I slept with the most wildest dreams...

Well, I will take it easy for the rest of today and see how I feel tomorrow. Hopefully much better!
